America's lost another great leader.
Sargent Robert Shriver, father to Maria Shriver and an immense patriot, has passed away. He succumbed to his long battle against Alzheimer's disease at the age of 95.
Sargent Shriver did several immense services this to country, including launching the U.S. Peace Corps after marrying into the Kennedy family as well as heading the Special Olympics.
We send out our condolences to the Shrivers and Kennedys for their loss. He was truly one of the great ones.

Meet The Mini-Cast Of ‘Glee’
Last Thursday we got to see photos of Emma Watson looking absolutely fabulous on the red carpet of the London premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and today we get to see more fabulous photos of Miss Emma. Here are a few pics of Emma making her way through Heathrow Aiport in London bound for the US to do some Harry Potter promo here … and homegirl is lookin’ gooooood, y’all:
Right on trend, Emma is rockin’ a stylish trench coat and was carrying a guitar. I mean, could this girl be any cooler? I am so in love with Emma Watson right now … she has to be my fave female starlet right now. I just love how effortless she makes EVERYTHING look. She’s just awesome. Smart, talented and incredibly hot … Emma‘s got it all. Don’t you just love her?

Lindsay Lohan Will Be Spending Thanksgiving Here In SoCal
Yesterday afternoon, David and I met up with Emma, Josh and co. for a bite to eat and hang out session at The Village Idiot on Melrose Ave. We hadn’t seen them in a while so it was nice catching up with them. We were joined by their friends Michael and Melanie and a grand time was had by all. Melrose is peppered with pretty good graffiti and I snapped a photo of this very cool Star Wars-inspired poster tacked up near the Village Idiot:
It’s cool, right? After dinner/drinks, David and I made our way to Hollywood to attend the screening of a movie that I can’t talk about just yet. I’ve written up my review and will be able to share it with all y’all in a couple of weeks. I cannot WAIT to share :D
Today David and I will be heading into the Valley to celebrate our good friend Angi’s birthday today!! It shall be a blast!
Happy Sunday, y’all … hope your weekends are going well. Wee!!

Janet Jackson Announces A New World Tour
Last night David and I met up for drinks with our friend Jordan who we haven’t seen in quite a few weeks. That boy is always so bizzy flying around the world that it’s really hard to pin him down to just one location for very long. We hooked up with him at Saint Felix in West Hollywood, CA for some drinks and conversation … and we got to share our time with the fabulous Billy Dee Williams:
Jordan then dragged us to a milkshake place so that we could indulge in horribly fattening yet absolutely delicious candy bar-filled milkshakes together. We kept it casual but fun … ’twas a nice night out on the town.
Tonight, I’ll be swinging by the movie theater to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and then later on tonight, I’ll be making my way to the Viper Room on the Sunset Strip to see American Hi-Fi LIVE in concert! It’s Friday, it’s the Weekend! I hope you have a great one!!

Paris Hilton Does Community Service
Yesterday evening, before I made my way to the Viper Room to see American Hi-Fi LIVE in concert, I attended an opening day showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 at the ArcLight in Hollywood, CA. Without question, I loved every single second of the film and enjoyed it so thoroughly that I cannot wait to see it again:
JK Rowling‘s Harry Potter books are always so rich with detail and lush storytelling that the film versions, as good as they are, seem like watered down tales that pale in comparison to the original source material. Because the final Harry Potter book, The Deathly Hallows, has been turned into 2 films, that watered down feeling didn’t feel as heavy-handed as it does for previous films. True, not everything in the first half of Deathly Hallows is included in Part 1 but we do get much more of the story than we usually get from the film adaptations … and we have an entirely new film to look forward to as well. This final installment of the Harry Potter film franchise is very dark and very scary … even for adults. No lie, I jumped out of my seat a couple of times with actual fright. There’s a lot of sexiness going on as well … Daniel Radcliffe strips down to his underwear in parts of the film and the semi-naked kissing (fantasy) scene between Harry Potter and Hermoine Granger made me feel really … uncomfortable. Still, those elements are required of the story so they didn’t feel gratuitous … in fact, they added muchly to the tone of the film. I was very impressed with the animated scenes that were used for the retelling of The Tale of the Three Brothers within the film. All in all, the film impressed me greatly … I loved it entirely. I really, REALLY did not want the movie to end … and when it does, I gave an audible sigh of sadness. I fear I’ll be bawling my eyes out when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 is released next Summer. I damn near bawled my eyes out this time!
I’m not sure how this film will play for folks who are unfamiliar with the Harry Potter books and/or movies but the other 98.7% of the planet should enjoy this film very much.

Rihanna Wanted Avril Lavigne To Re-Record Vocals On Cheers!
We're not sure what this would have to benefit the song, but it still would have been nice!
Anyone who has listened to the AMAZEBALLS track Cheers (Drink To That) on Rihanna's latest album, Loud, probably noticed that the song samples heavily from the Avril Lavigne song, I'm With You, and according to the singer, she [...]
The future looks bleak for all those who would rather download their music for free on the Internet illegally than pay iTunes $1.29 per song.
It was unanimously decided today in the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee to give the Justice Department the power to take down illegally offered copyrighted content for sale, download, or streaming.
This new bill, the Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act, allows federal officials to get to work on shutting down any and all websites they deem illegally distributing music and other copyrighted materials.
As you can imagine, La La Land is thrilled to be getting their money back from all the consumers who've been cheating them all this time. SAG and the DGA even issued a joint-statement in support of the bill, saying:
“We believe today’s committee action is the first step in making it much more difficult for rogue site operators to run their sites with impunity.”
Uh-huh. Ever heard of the old saying, "where there's a will, there's a way?" We think the government underestimates the average American's overpowering inclination to not pay for stuff.
But still, this could affect a lot of your favorite websites, which is a bummer.
Are U peeved over this bill passing?

Theatre Critics Anger Spider-Man Reps With Early Reviews
Looks like the folks associated with Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark are NOT happy with two theatre critics who have released reviews while previews are still running.

Here's what Spider-Man spokesperson Rick Miramontez [...]

Yay! Latinos are taking over!
This is so cool!
Univision's Soy Tu Dueña was the number one show this past week, bringing in 5.8 million viewers in the key demographic, 18-49. The show beat out other top hit shows like CBS' NCIS: L.A., ABC's No Ordinary Family, and an NBC SNL special.
And this isn't the first time Soy Tu Deuña brought in the big ratings! Back in June, the show topped the key demo for the first time and has hit the spot many times since then.
Univision Networks president Cesar Conde says:
"Univision is committed to becoming the No. 1 television network in the United States among Adults 18-49, regardless of language, within the next five years and our ability to deliver top quality programming like Soy Tu Dueña allows us to further advance on this goal."
